Prof. Dr. Edward Y. Chang received his B.S. degree from Materials Science and Engineering, National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan in 1977, and his Ph.D. degree from Materials Science and Engineering, University of Minnesota Minneapolis, MN in 1985. Dr. Chang was with Unisys Corporation GaAs Component Group, Eagan, MN, 1985 to 1988 and Comsat Labs Microelectronic Group from 1988 to 1992. He worked on the GaAs MMIC programs on both groups. He joined National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1992. In 1994, he helped set up the first GaAs MMIC production line in Taiwan, and become president of Hexawave Inc., Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1995. He returned to the teaching position at NCTU in 1999. Dr. Chang is currently the Dean of Research and Development and professor of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and Dept of Elecrical Engineering at NCTU. He is also the director of Diamond Lab and the director of NCTU-TSMC research center. His research interests include new device and process technologies for Compound Semiconductors for wireless communication and high power electronic applications.. Dr. Chang is a senior member and a DL(Distinguished Lecturer) of the IEEE Electronic Device Society. Currently his research activities include InP, GaAs based compound materials and devices (HEMT, HBT) for wireless communication and sub-milimeterwave imaging applications. GaN based materials (MBE, MOCVD) and High frequency&High power electronic (HEMT) applications. III-V/ Si integration (Ge, SiGe, GaAs, InP) for logic applications. Advanced package (Flip chip) for high frequency and power applications. Dr. Chang has received quite a few honors from Taiwan and abroad, including two times Outstanding. Research Award and Distinguished Contribution for Technical Transfer to Industry, both from National Science Council, Taiwan. National Award for Academic Contribution to Industry and Industry and Economy Contribution Award, both from Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan. Distinguished Electrical Engineering Professor Award from Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering. He is also Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE, Fellow of Taiwanese Materials Society, and Fellow of IEEE.

His research interests include new device and process technologies for Compound Semiconductors for wireless communication and high power electronic applications.. Dr. Chang is a senior member and a DL(Distinguished Lecturer) of the IEEE Electronic Device Society. Currently his research activities include InP, GaAs based compound materials and devices (HEMT, HBT) for wireless communication and sub-milimeterwave imaging applications. Dr S.Joseph Antony is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Particle Science and Engineering, School of Chemical and Process Engineering, University of Leeds, U.K.His research expertise is in the area of nano and micromechanics, multi-scale modelling and experimental mechanics of materials in both discrete and continuum form. Joseph has published over 100 papers in several reputed international journals and conference proceedings.He actively participates in the activities of particle technology community in U.K and abroad. He holds membership in several international professional bodies and serves in technical committees in his area of research. Currently, he serves as a member of peer reviewers in his area of research for several international journals. He is the lead editor of the book on Advances in Granular Materials: Fundamentals and Applications, published by the Royal Society of Chemistry, London (2004). He has won many awards, including the prestigious M.I.T Young Research Fellowship for Exemplary Research in Computational Mechanics and the Certificate of Merit as an Example of Outstanding Achievements in U.K Particle Science and Technology in 2002, PTSG, IChemE, U.K, He has served as a guest editor for the Jl. Granular Matter and the lead editor of the book ‘Granular Materials: Fundamentals and Applications’, published by the Royal Society of Chemistry, London in 2004. Presently Joseph serves as an editorial board member of several journals in the area of Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology. Nanoparticles, Nanotechnology

Dr. Dongsheng Mao joined Applied Nanotech, Inc. in 2001 and is highly experienced in nano-enabled R&D, product development, and commercialization. He is currently the Vice President of Engineering for Applied Nanotech, Inc where he is also involved in management responsibilities and business development. He has 25 years’ experience in advanced materials including 20+ years’ experience in nanomaterials and nanotechnology. He has successfully managed a number of R&D projects. A number of high performance products were already put to the market place based on his effort. Dr. Mao has over 50 scientific publications. He is an inventor of co-inventor of over 40 granted US and PCT patents with more patents pending.

His research interests are composites, fiber reinforced composites, nanocomposites, nanomaterials, electric materials and devices, metallic inks and pastes, thin films, solar energy, etc.

Dr. Mohammad Qasaimeh is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering at NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD). He established the Advanced Microfluidics and Microdevices Laboratory (AMMLab) at NYUAD in September 2014, and his current research interests include developing microfluidic and MEMS devices for biomedical applications and point of care diagnostics. Prior to joining NYUAD, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Qasaimeh completed his PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2013 from McGill University, where he received several prestigious fellowships and awards including the NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship, the Alexander Graham Bell Graduate Scholarship (CGSD3), and the FQRNT Students-Researchers Stars Award. Dr. Qasaimeh research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals including Nature Communications, PLOS Biology, Lab on a Chip, and Biomedical Microdevies.

Dr. Mary Mehrnoosh Eshaghian-Wilner has over 26 years of research experience in various areas within the field of Computer Engineering. Additionally, she has worked in the area of patent law for several years. She has published numerous scientific papers, including two books, and has handled the prosecution and infringement analysis of many complex U.S. and international patents. Dr. Eshaghian-Wilner currently is a Professor of Engineering Practice at the Electrical Engineering-Systems Department at the University of Southern California (USC), and since 2004 has been an Adjunct Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Prior to joining UCLA, she was a tenured full Professor and Department Head at the Computer Engineering Department of Rochester Institute of Technology. Professor Eshaghian-Wilner received her B.S. degree in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering (1985), M.S. degree in Computer Engineering (1985), her Engineers degree in Electrical Engineering (1988), and her Ph.D. in Computer Engineering (1988), all from USC. She holds a J.D. degree from the Northwestern California School of Law, and has graduated Cum Laude with an LL.M. degree from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law. She is admitted to the State Bar of California and the Washington, D.C. Bar, and is registered as a Patent Attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Professor Eshaghian-Wilner is best known for her pioneering contributions to three areas of Optical Computing, Heterogeneous Computing, and Nanoscale Computing. In the area of Optical Computing, she produced one of the first theses that dealt with the computational aspects of optical interconnects for VLSI chips. The OMC model was developed by Professor Eshaghian-Wilner as part of her Ph.D. work, and since then, many architectures and algorithms have been designed by on that model. In the area of Heterogeneous Computing, Professor Eshaghian-Wilner is the editor of the field's first book, "Heterogeneous Computing," and she is the co- founder of the IEEE Heterogeneous Computing Workshop. The NSF-funded Cluster-M model was developed by her team, as one of the first paradigms for executing heterogeneous applications to systems. The Cluster-M mapping is still the fastest known algorithm for mapping arbitrary task graphs onto arbitrary system graphs. In the area of Nanoscale Computing, one of Professor Eshaghian-Wilner's most notable results involves the design of highly interconnected multiprocessor chips with spin waves that possess an unprecedented degree of interconnectivity that was not possible previously with electrical VLSI interconnects. These designs have a great potential to be used as part of miniature implantable devices for biomedical applications and nanomedicine. Professor Eshaghian-Wilner serves on the editorial board of Journal of Nanomedicine and Nanotechnology, and is a founding series co-editor of "Nature Inspired Computing" for Wiley & Sons. She has edited the first book of this series, "Bio-inspired and Nanoscale Integrated Computing". Professor Eshaghian-Wilner's most recent area of research is in Technology Law. She is investigating how various forms of emerging technologies may be impacted by, and come into conflict with, U.S. and international policies and laws. For example, Pervasive (heterogeneous/ubiquitous) computing and nanotechnology are two emerging technologies in which she an extensive scientific background. While these two technologies are entirely different from each other, they both are seemingly invisible, one in terms of interconnectivity and the other in terms of size. They can therefore introduce continuously magnifying challenges to policies and laws that protect rights and property. Professor Eshaghian-Wilner has founded and/or chaired numerous IEEE conferences and organizations, including the IEEE Women in Engineering affinity division of the Coastal Los Angeles Section. She is the recipient of several prestigious grants and honors including a teaching award for being voted as the best teacher by her engineering students. Professor Eshaghian-Wilner is a nominee for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring.

Ramesh K. Agarwal is the William Palm Professor of Engineering and the director of Aerospace Research and Education Center at Washington University in St. Louis. From 1994 to 2001, he was the Sam Bloomfield Distinguished Professor and Executive Director of the National Institute for Aviation Research at Wichita State University in Kansas. From 1978 to 1994, he worked in various scientific and managerial positions at McDonnell Douglas Research Laboratories in St. Louis. He became the Program Director and McDonnell Douglas Fellow in 1990. Dr. Agarwal received Ph.D. in Aeronautical Sciences from Stanford University in 1975, M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1969 and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India in 1968. Over a period of 35+ years, Professor Agarwal has worked in various areas of Computational Science and Engineering - Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Computational Materials Science, Computational Electromagnetics (CEM), and Multidisciplinary Design and Optimization. He is the author and coauthor of over 400 publications. He has also worked in Nanotechnology and Renewable Energy, in particular in nanoparticles properties, synthesis, and their applications in drug delivery and their health effects, and energetic materials for solar energy applications. He has given many plenary, keynote and invited lectures at various national and international conferences worldwide. Professor Agarwal continues to serve on many academic, government, and industrial advisory committees. Dr. Agarwal is a Fellow sixteen societies including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), American Association for Advancement of Science (AAAS), American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), American Physical Society (APS), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Royal Aeronautical Society and American society for Engineering Education (ASEE). He has received many prestigious honors and national/international awards from various professional societies and organizations for his research contributions.

Dr Jose Luis Menendez is a tenured scientist working for the Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology Research Center from the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas (CINN-CSIC). He obtained his PhD degree in 2001 after a thesis on the dimensionality effects of optical and magneto-optical properties of Fe based systems. After a post-doc stay (2002-2004) at the Institut d’Electronique Fondamentale (IEF-CNRS) working on magnetic domain wall propagation in magnetic nanostructures, he started working in the field of transparent ceramics at INCAR-CSIC, mostly spark plasma sintered. Since 2009 he works at CINN-CSIC in the study of the magnetic, optical and magneto-optical properties of ceramics and ceramic nanocomposites. In this time, he has published more than 50 articles in SCI journals, coauthored two book chapters on the spark plasma sintering technique and led several national and European research projects.

Research interests: Ceramic nanocomposites, nanostructured materials, spark plasma sintering, dielectric and optical properties, magneto-optics.

Dr. Daniel Choi received his B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from Seoul National University (South Korea) and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA. Dr. Choi was a staff member for three years at the Aerospace Corporation and a task manager Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL)/NASA for nine years, leading a number of space-related projects such as Phoenix and Mars Science Laboratory project. He was an associate professor and director of the Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) program at University of Idaho (USA). Currently, he is Department Head of the Mechanical and Materials Engineering in the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, Abu Dhabi, UAE. He is also a Science Team for UAE Emirates Mars Mission Program.

Dr. Solhe F. Alshahateet is Associate Professor of Organic and Supramolecular Chemistry graduated in 2003 from the University of New South Wales / Australia. He works at Mutah University since 2007. He received many awards such as Australian Research Council and Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education scholarships. He was engaged in many projects from local and international funding agencies. Dr. Alshahateet attended many conferences worldwide. He published more than 70 articles mostly in international journals dealing with crystal engineering and supramolecular chemistry involving industrial applications. In addition, he is working as a referee and editorial board member for many international specialized journals. Highlights of his research have been in the area of synthesis and characterization of semiconducting materials, organic materials for and industrial applications (functional materials) such as pharmaceutical industry. After completing his PhD (2002) at the UNSW, he undertook research in new synthesis chemistry as a Research Fellow at UNSW for about one year. Since then he had undertaken research into synthesis of new organic materials at the Institute of Chemical and Engineering Sciences ICES, Singapore. He had research visitor appointments at the University of New South Wales (Australia) and at the University of South Florida (USA).

Dr.ElZein, is the director of Research and Consultation Center (RCC) at the University of Business and Technology (UBT) – Jeddah Saudi Arabia. She was a Research Scientist at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), and previously a faculty member at Dar AL Hekma University, KSA and an associate researcher at IEMN, Lille, France. Dr. El Zein Graduated from the Lebanese University with a master of Engineering in Electrical & Electronics Engineering withdistinction. She got her PhD in from the University of Lille 1 –France in Nanotechnology with high distinction. She is a senior member of IEEE, member of ACS, MRS, SPIE, ECS and Lebanese Engineering syndicate. She has been selected as Solar Pioneer by MESIA during WFES 2015 in Abu Dhabi. She is a reviewer in many international, peer-reviewed journals, the chair or co-chair and on the committee of different international conferences, she published in many international journals and had one filed patent.

Her recent research interests include working on nanostructures for third generation solar cells, energy harvesting and energy storage. She recently gained 2 grants from King AbdulAziz City for science and technology (KACST), to support her research on Nanostructures for Photovoltaic applications, where she is mentoring a PhD student and collaborating with many international research centers. The main objective of her research is to develop an eco-green with high efficiency and long durability Solar cells. In addition to this, she is exploring new materials such as kesterite, perovskite and protein to be used as light absorber for Solid state sensitized solar cells

Mohammad Mehdi Rashidi is born in Hamedan, Iran in 1972. He received his B.Sc. degree in Bu-Ali Sina University, Hamedan, Iran in 1995. He also received his M.Sc. and Ph.D degrees from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran in 1997 and 2002, respectively. His research focuses on Heat and Mass Transfer, Wind Tunnel, Thermodynamics, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Nonlinear Analysis, Engineering Mathematics, Exergy and Second Law Analysis, Numerical and Experimental Investigations of Nanofluids Flow for Increasing Heat Transfer and Study of Magnetohydrodynamic Viscous Flow.He is a professor of Mechanical Engineering at Tongji University, Shanghai, China. He has published two books: Advanced Engineering Mathematics with Applied Examples of MATHEMATICA Software (2007) (320 pages) (in Persian), and Mathematical Modelling of Nonlinear Flows of Micropolar Fluids (Germany, Lambert Academic Press, 2011). His works have been published in the Plos One, Energy, Computers and Fluids, Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation and several other peer-reviewed international journals. Prof. R. P. Singh has contributed over three decades of his dedicated service for research and science education. He is currently a Professor at Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. Dr. Singh received his Master’s in Biochemistry from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, India and Doctoral degree in Microbial biochemistry from Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, India. He had continued as a Research Associate at Institute of Microbial Technology, Chandigarh. Further he worked at National Institutes of Health, USA and Harvard Medical School, USA as a Visiting Fellow and as a Research Officer for more than five years. He was also a visiting faculty for a year at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, USA. His research interests primarily include enzyme engineering, biofuels, biopolymers and targeted drug delivery. Masamichi Yoshimura is the Professor and group leader of Surface Science laboratory at Toyota Technological Institute Nagoya Japan. He is well-known for his research on nanotechnology and surface science. He has developed high performance nanomaterials for batteries and other energy devices. He is the fellow of Surface Science Society of Japan and editor for various internal journals including Japanese Journal of Applied Physics. He was the president of surface science society. He has done pioneering research in the field of scanning probe microscopy high tech carbon materials. He has published over 200 papers in the international journals and delivered numerous invited and keynote lectures. He has BS, MS, and PhD in applied physics and all from University of Tokyo Japan. He was visiting scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory USA for one year and Associate Professor at Hiroshima University prior to joining Toyota Institute Nagoya.

Dr. Apurbba Kumar Sharma is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at IIT Roorkee, India. Currently, he is also holding the posts of Associate Dean, Academic Studies in this Institute and Chairman, Institute Academic Performance Evaluation Committee, IIT Roorkee. He has obtained his Bachelor degree from Dibrugarh University, Assam. He has subsequently obtained his Masters and PhD degrees from IIT Madras. Dr. Sharma has five Indian Patents to his credit. He has published more than 80 research papers in International Journals. He has also presented/published more than 110 research papers in various International and National Conferences. Dr.Sharma is also a reviewer of several reputed international journals including Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Proceedings of the IMechE Part B: Journal of Engineering Manufacture, Proceedings of the IMechE Part E: Journal of Process Mechanical Engineering and Surface and Coatings Technology, Surface Engineering and Kovové Materiály-Metallic Materials. He has also edited one International Conference Proceedings. He has developed a Full Web-based Video Course on “Advanced Manufacturing Processes” under the NPTEL Programme of the Government of India. He has also developed a course as the Principal Developer on “Principles of Industrial Engineering” for undergraduate students under the Pilot Phase of the National Mission Project on Pedagogic Development, Sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Govt. of India. He was working as a DAAD (Germany) Fellow in the Pulsed Power and Microwave Technique (IHM), Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany. He has completed three funded research projects, and two other projects funded by CSIR, and BRNS, Govt of India are in progress. He has also completed few consultancy works. Dr Joshi has developed experimental methods to prepare Graphene, Carbon Nanotubes and Semiconductors for various applications. Dr Joshi’s breakthrough work on Graphene Oxide membranes is amongst the most influential contributions to this area (R. K. Joshi et al, Science 2014).

Dr. Dongfang Yang is a Sr. Research Officer at the National Research Council Canada. He received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from University of Guelph in Canada in 1995. His research interests include laser materials processing, pulsed laser and e-beam deposition of thin film, new materials development for energy devices, chemical and optical sensors, and electrochemical studies of organic adsorption and self-assembly monolayer. He has authored 2 book chapters, 1 patent, 45 scientific articles in peer reviewed journals, and 15 papers in conference proceedings. He is currently serving as Member of Editorial Board for journal “The Research & Reviews in Electrochemistry”; “International Journal on Advances in Networks and Services”; “Current Chemical Research” and “Journal of Biochips & Tissue chips” as well as Member of Editorial Advisory Board for the journal “Sensors & Transducers”. Dr. Biplab Paul got his Ph. D. in 2011 from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India, where he initiated a new line of research in the area of thermoelectric. Dr. Kaushik Pal is an Assistant Professor in Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at IIT Roorkee since 2012. He started his career as a BE in Mechanical Engineering (2002). After that he obtained his Ph.D Degree (2009) from IIT, Kharagpur. After finishing his Ph.D, he joined to Gyeongsang National University, South Korea for pursuing his Post-Doc research. Prior to joing IIT, Roorkee, he started his journey at NIT Agartala as a faculty member and served there during 2011-2012. His fields of interests are nano materials and other high performance advanced materials. He has authored about 70 publications till date. Also, he has authored two books namely, “Recent Advances in Elastomeric Nanocomposites” and “Recent Advancement in Processing of Wood-Plastic Composites (WPC) Foam”. He has supervised 01 no. Dr.P.Gopinath is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India. He received his B.Sc. degree in Microbiology and M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology from Bharathidasan University, India. He earned his Ph.D. in Biotechnology at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. He did his postdoctoral research at University of Rochester Medical Center, New York, USA. Currently his research group in nanobiotechnology laboratory is working on the development of various protein and polymer based nanocarriers for the delivery of various anticancer agents including anticancer drugs, siRNA, genes etc. This group is also exploring the possibilities of various biocompatible imaging agents for cancer diagnosis. Dr. D.Nagasamy Venkatesh is Assistant Professor at Department of Pharmaceutics, JSS College of Pharmacy, Udhagamandalam. India. Dr. D.Nagasamy Venkatesh is interested in developing certain nanobased drug delivery systems for antiviral and anticancer drugs. His research is also involved in developing sustained/controlled drug delivery systems for certain drugs and analytical and bio-analytical method development for drugs. Prof. Han-Yong Jeon, male, geosynthetics/technical organic materials researcher, graduated from textile engineering department, Hanyang University in 1979. He worked for Hyejeon College, 1982-1990 and Howon University, 1990-1992, Chonnam National University, 1992-2005 and now works for Inha University. Since 1998, he is the director of Geosynthetics Institute (USA)-Korea Directory. From 2008-2012, he worked in International Geosynthetics Society as Council member (2006~2012) and he was the 6th president of Korean Geosynthetics Society (2011~2013). Also, he is members of ASTM D35 and ISO TC221 on geosynthetics from 1998. Now he is the current 32nd President of Korean Fiber Society (2014~2015). Mau Chien DANG received his MSc and PhD in Materials Science from the National Polytechnic Institute in Grenoble (Grenoble INP), France in 1991 and 1994. In 1996 and 2007, he received his Master’s in Management from the University Pierre Mendes France and the Diploma of Habilitation for Research Direction (DHDR) in Materials and Process Engineering from the Grenoble INP. From 1996 to 2004 he was Head of Dept. of Materials Science Fundamentals, Vice-Dean of Faculty of Material Technology, HCM City University of Technology. Since 2005 he has been Associate Professor. In 2004 he created the Laboratory for Nanotechnology (LNT), VNU-HCM, of which he has been Director since then. He is a member of several national level research bodies and councils. He has authored or co-authored more than 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals and five patents.

Dr. Hui-Ming Cheng is Professor and Director of Advanced Carbon Research Division of Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials Science, Institute of Metal Research, the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

His research activities focus on the synthesis, properties and applications of carbon nanotubes, graphene, energy storage materials, photocatalytic semiconducting materials, and high-performance bulk carbon materials. He has published over 480 papers with an H index of 85 and is recognized as one of the Highly Cited Researchers in both materials science and chemistry fields by Thomson Reuters. He has received several international and national awards, including the 2nd class National Natural Science Prize, the Charles E. Artur Podhorodecki, in addition to his post as Associate Professor at the Wroclaw University of Technology (WRUT), since 2012, he is also a member of the Council of National Centre for Research and Development. He got his MSc in Solid State Physics in 2003 and PhD in Physics in 2007, both at WRUT. In the group of Optical Spectroscopy of Nanostructures, he is leading a team working on synthesis, functionalization of various nanomaterials (i.e. quantum dots (CdS-based, PbS-based, ZnS-based), insulating nanocrystals (NaYF4-based) and their advanced spectroscopy, including investigations of nanocrystalline thin films containing silicon nanoclusters and co-doped with the lanthanides. These materials studies are mainly for bio and photonic applications.

Optical investigations (absorption, emission excitation and time decay) of undoped semiconductor nanocrystals in the form of freestanding powders, nanocrystaline films as well clusters undoped, doped or co-doped with the lanthanide ions. His research is focused on the absorption and relaxation processes in these materials and in particulary on the energy transfer processes, where the excitation energy is transferred from the donor (host matrix, nanocrystal, lanthanide ion) to the acceptor (lanthanide ion).

Dr Alexandra Apostoluk, aged 39, has been working on the emission of polymer and inorganic materials since her Engineering and MSc at Wroclaw University of Technology (Poland) and through her PhD in 2000-2003 at Université d’Angers. In 2003, she joined the Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique (CEA) in Saclay for a 2-year post-doc on polymer semiconductors. In 2005 she worked as a lecturer and researcher at the University of Technology of Troyes. In 2006 she became an associate professor at INSA Lyon, working on III-V and II-VI nanostructures. Dr. Solhe F. Alshahateet is Associate Professor of Organic and Supramolecular Chemistry graduated in 2003 from the University of New South Wales / Australia. He works at Mutah University since 2007. Prof. Vaseashta received a PhD from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, VA in 1990. He currently serves as Vice Provost for Research at Claflin University and Strategic Advisor/Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Sciences Convergence and International Clean Water Institute at Norwich University Applied Research Institutes. Previously, he served as a Professor of Physics and Physical Sciences and Director of Research at the Nanomaterials Processing and Characterization Laboratories, Graduate Program in Physical Sciences at Marshall University. Concurrently, he holds a visiting/distinguished Professorship at the 3 Nano-SAE Research Centre, University of Bucharest, Romania; Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Chisinau, Moldova; and at the Helen and Martin Kimmel Center of Nanoscale Science at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel. In 2007-08, he was detailed as a William C. Foster fellow to the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation at the US Department of State working with the Office of Weapons of Mass Destruction and Terrorism and Foreign Consequence Management program. He also served (2009-13) as Franklin Fellow and strategic S&T advisor in the office of Verification and Transparency Technologies/Arms Verification and Control in the Bureau of Arms Control Verification and Compliance, Office of Verification and Transparency Technologies at the US Department of State. He is a fellow of the American Physical Society, Institute of Nanotechnology, and New York Academy of Sciences. He was awarded Gold medal by the Armenian National Polytechnic University (formerly State Engineering University of Armenia) for his contribution to Nanotechnology. In addition, he has earned several other fellowships and awards for his meritorious service including 2004/2005 Distinguished Artist and Scholar award. His research interests include; counterterrorism, unconventional warfare, critical-Infrastarture protection, biosecurity, advanced and nano materials for development of chemical-bio sensors/detectors, environmental pollution monitoring/detecting and remediation, and green nanotechnology. He authored over 200 research publications, edited/authored six books on nanotechnology, presented many keynote and invited lectures worldwide, served as the Director of four NATO Advanced Study Institutes/Advanced Research workshops supported by Emerging Security Challenges Division of the Science for Peace and Security, and co-chair of an International Symposium on Nanotechnology and Environmental Pollution Prevention (ISNEPP). He led the U.S. position on Nanotechnology in High Technology Coordination Group to joint US and India delegation. In addition, he served as a member of the U.S. Department of Commerce, NIST, and ANSI delegation to the U.K. representing the U.S. position on Standards in Nanotechnologies at the inaugural meeting of the ISO/TAG to TC-229. He is a member of NATO-SET-040, an exploratory team panel investigating security and surveillance applications of nanotechnology. He serves as an expert counsel to the UNESCO, ObservatoryNANO, and COSENT – south-east consortium on Nanotechnologies on NANO-Science and Technologies. He is an active member of several national and international professional organizations.

Anand Gadre graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics from the University of Mumbai (India) in 1994. He received the MS Degree at the Institute of Science in 1997 and completed his doctorate (Ph.D.) in 2000 from the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai in Polymer Physics. In 2001 Anand joined University of Maryland (USA) as a Postdoctoral Research Associate to pursue research in the areas of Micro and Nanotechnology. In 2002 Anand worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Georgetown University at Washington DC and later worked as a Managing Scientist in Georgetown’s Nanoscience and Microtechnology laboratory (GNuLab). In 2004 Anand was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Nanobioscience at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering in the State University of New York at Albany and later was promoted as an Associate Professor of Nanobioscience with tenure. While working at CNSE, Anand also achieved his Master in Business Management (MBA) degree from the State University of New York at Albany. In March 2011 Anand joined as the Director of the Stem Cell Instrumentation and Nanofabrication Foundry at the University of California, Merced, where he is currently administering core research facilities and pursuing his research in the areas of Nanobiotechnology. Anand is an active researcher and has published several peer reviewed papers, co-authored book chapters, served as a referee for several national and international journals, served as chair and invited speaker in several national and international conferences, has delivered lectures and taught advanced courses on polymeric materials and nanobiotechnology at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Ramgopal Raois a P.K.KelkarChair Professor for Nanotechnology in the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Chief Investigator for the Centre of Excellence in Nanoelectronics project at IIT Bombay. Dr. Rao has over 350 publications in the area of Electron Devices &Nanoelectronics in refereed international journals and conference proceedings and is an inventor on 30 patents (including 13 issued US patents) and patent applications, with many of his patents licensed to industries for commercialization. Dr. Murugan Ramalingam is Professor at the Centre for Stem Cell Research (a unit of the Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine-Bengaluru), Christian Medical College Campus, India. Concurrently he is Adjunct Professor at the Tohoku University, Japan. Prior to joining the CSCR, he was Associate Professor of Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering at the Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale, Faculté de Chirurgie Dentaire, Université de Strasbourg, France. He has worked at the WPI Advanced Institute for Materials Research, Japan, as an Assistant Professor. He has also worked at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), under the U.S. National Academies Associateship program. He received his Ph.D. in Biomaterials from the University of Madras. He has also undergone training in Ethical and Policy issues on Stem Cells from Harvard University, USA, and in Operations Management from the University of Illinois-Chicago. His current research interests are focused on the development of multiphase biomedical materials, through conventional to nanotechnology to biomimetic approaches, microfabrication, cell patterning, stem cell differentiation, tissue engineering and drug delivery. He is the author of over 190 publications, including peer-reviewed journal papers, conference proceedings, book chapters, authored books, edited books, and patents relevant to biomaterials, stem cells, and tissue engineering. His current h-index is 23 with over 4250 citations. He has organized several international conferences and chaired Biomaterials, Nanobiotechnology, Stem Cells and Tissue Engineering sessions. He also serves as a board member of several international scientific and research committees in various public and private bodies and grant reviewer of various international funding agencies. Dr. Dongsheng Mao is currently the Vice President of Engineering for Applied Nanotech, Inc. and is highly experienced in nano-enabled product R&D and commercialization. He is also the Director of the Nanocomposite and Printed Electronics Divison at the company. He has successfully managed a number of R&D projects. Masayoshi Tonouchi received the B.S. and M.S. and Dr. E. degrees form Osaka University, Japan, in 1983, 1985 and 1988, respectively. Dr. Md. K. Nazeeruddin received M.Sc. and Ph. D. in inorganic chemistry from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. He joined as a Lecturer in Deccan College of Engineering and Technology, Osmania University in 1986, and subsequently, moved to Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar, as a Research Associate. He was awarded the Government of India’s fellowship in 1987 for study abroad. After one year postdoctoral stay with Prof. Graetzel at Swiss federal institute of technology Lausanne (E P F L), he joined the same institute as a Senior Scientist. His current research focuses on Dye-sensitized solar cells, Hydrogen production, Light-emitting diodes and Chemical sensors. He has published more than 420 peer-reviewed papers, ten book chapters, and inventor of 40 patents. The high impact of his work has been recognized with invitations to speak at over 80 international conferences, including the MRS Fall (USA, 2006) and Spring 2011 Meetings, GORDON conference (2014), and has been nominated to the OLLA International Scientific Advisory Board. He appeared in the ISI listing of most cited chemists, and has more than 33'500 citations with an h-index of 93. He is teaching "Functional Materials" course at EPFL, and Korea University; directing, and managing several industrial, national, and European Union projects on Hydrogen energy, Photovoltaics (DSC), and Organic Light Emitting Diodes. He was awarded EPFL Excellence prize in 1998 and 2006, Brazilian FAPESP Fellowship in 1999, Japanese Government Science & Technology Agency Fellowship, in 1998, Government of India National Fellowship in 1987-1988. Dr Zhou is presently a Professor, Associate Vice President of Global Medical Development, Associate Dean of International Research, and Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy & Morsani College of Medicine, University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida 33612. Professor Zhou completed his clinical medical training in China in 1989 and obtained his PhD in 2001 from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, the University of Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand. He continued his postdoctoral training at the University of Auckland until November 2002. Since 2002, Dr Zhou has served as a faculty member for the National University of Singapore, Queensland University of Technology (Australia), RMIT University (Australia), and now University of South Florida. Dr Zhou’s major research interests are drug discovery/systems pharmacology, drug metabolism/drug transport & pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenomics/pharmacogenetics, nanomedicine and Chinese medicine. Professor Zhou has published more than 330 peer-reviewed papers in various pharmacology and medical journals including New England Journal of Medicine, Cancer Research, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Carcinogenesis, JPET, Drug Metabolism & Disposition, and Clinical Cancer Research. He has also published 16 books and book chapters and more than 310 conference abstracts. His work has been cited more than 8,600 times by other colleagues with a H-index of 46. He has received more than US$22.0 million grants from various funding bodies and industries. To date, he has trained 24 PhD students, 12 MSc/Honors students, 14 postdoctoral fellows and 25 visiting faculty. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Khayet Souhaimi is an expert on membrane science and technology (membrane design and fabrication, membrane processes including nanofiltration, emerging technologies) and water treatment (desalination, wastewater treatment, etc.). He has contributed a substantial number of articles (over 100 papers since 2000) on the subject of membrane science and technology to various international refereed journals, including among others, Journal of Membrane Science and Desalination (with an H-index 27 and 2223 Sum of Times Cited in Journal of Citation Reports, JCR, Web of Knowledge). He has filed 3 International Patents on the fabrication of polymeric membranes for water treatment. Recently, he has published 2 books: “Membrane Distillation: Principles and Applications", Elsevier (2011)” and “Membrane Modification: Technology and Applications", CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group (2012) with special interests in developing antifouling nanofiltration membranes and reduction of membrane fouling by polymer surface modification. He has coordinated various national and international projects funded by different institutions (European Union, Spanish Ministry of External Affaires, Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, Middle East Desalination Research Center (MEDRC), Abengoa Water, etc.). He has supervised several research studies (9 Ph.D. thesis, 25 master thesis and undergraduate students). He has also supervised various research studies of visiting professors and researchers from different institutions. He is currently member of the European Desalination Society (EDS), the European Membrane Society (EMS) and the North American Membrane Society (NAMS). He has delivered over 40 oral presentations at national and international conferences on membranes and membrane processes and presented 30 posters. He gave various seminars in national and international Universities and Research centres and organized seminar cycles. Dr Teng is an Associate Professor and leads the Nanoelectronics Research Group at the College of Engineering in Swansea University. His research interest is in the study of nanoscale electronic materials and devices. This involves the application of nanotechnology in electronics, which has major impact in healthcare, computer, photonic and energy technologies. His research includes the investigation of low-dimensional electronic materials, such as graphene, metal-oxide and nitride nanostructures etc., in the development of ultra-sensitive nano-biosensors for the early detection of diseases, short-wavelength lasers for ultra-high density data storage and nano-plasmonics for photovoltaic technology etc. Dr Teng has the expertise in the fabrication and characterisation of nanoscale electronic materials and devices, as well as controlling their properties through surface engineering for novel applications.

Ramesh K. Agarwal is the William Palm Professor of Engineering and the director of Aerospace Research and Education Center at Washington University in St. Louis. From 1994 to 2001, he was the Sam Bloomfield Distinguished Professor and Executive Director of the National Institute for Aviation Research at Wichita State University in Kansas. From 1978 to 1994, he worked in various scientific and managerial positions at McDonnell Douglas Research Laboratories in St. Louis. He became the Program Director and McDonnell Douglas Fellow in 1990. Dr. Agarwal received Ph.D. in Aeronautical Sciences from Stanford University in 1975, M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1969 and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India in 1968. Over a period of 35+ years, Professor Agarwal has worked in various areas of Computational Science and Engineering - Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Computational Materials Science, Computational Electromagnetics (CEM), and Multidisciplinary Design and Optimization. He is the author and coauthor of over 400 publications. He has also worked in Nanotechnology and Renewable Energy, in particular in nanoparticles properties, synthesis, and their applications in drug delivery and their health effects, and energetic materials for solar energy applications. He has given many plenary, keynote and invited lectures at various national and international conferences worldwide. Professor Agarwal continues to serve on many academic, government, and industrial advisory committees. Ljubimova is a Professor and Director of Nanomedicine Research Center at the Department of Neurosurgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She works in clinical and basic cancer research in her entire career. The major interest is the differential cancer gene expression as a tool for finding novel/early markers of cancer development, and for working out new nanomedicine drugs against these tumor targets for treatment and/or imaging. One of the novel markers, the structural tumor vessel wall protein laminin-411, is currently in a clinical trial as a prognostic and diagnostic marker for human glial tumor progression. These discoveries led to the development of new technologies for drug delivery and engineering of the new class of anti-cancer nanomedicine drugs. Currently her research is supported by three NIH/NCI, private and industry grants. She is the author of over 70 publications, reviews and book chapters as well as an inventor on nine patents and patent applications.

Primary research interests involve methods to block human glioma growth, brain tumor prevention treatments and the effects of air pollution on the brain.

Mohsen A. Jafari is a professor and Chair of Industrial & Systems Engineering at Rutgers University and is a principal at the Rutgers Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation, where he overseas Transportation Safety Resource Center and Information Management Group. His current research interests include control and optimization of large complex systems in transportation and energy applications. He has been principal or co-principal to over $18.0M R&D funding from the US and international government agencies and industry (including, US National Science Foundation; Office of Naval Research; Department of Energy; Department of Defense; FHWA and The NJ Department of Transportation; New York and New Jersey Port Authority; NYC Metropolitan Transit Authority; Port of Piraeus – Greece; Allison/General Motors; Siemens; Honeywell; DNV-GL Energy; Anhui-Kelli, China; and Merck & Co.). His work has led to three patents and a number of major technological advances and product development in transportation (Plan4Safety for traffic safety; Berth planning optimization for port operation), in energy (BEAM for building energy asset management; Micro-grid planning and control, Cyber risk assessment tool for power grid), and in manufacturing (3D printing for sensors and actuators). He actively collaborates with universities and national labs in the US and abroad (including University of Cambridge – UK; EPFL-Swiss; and Poly-technique of Milan - Italy). He has advised seventeen Ph.D. theses and nine post doctoral & research fellows. Presently, he is advising additional seven Ph.D. theses. He is a member of IEEE and was recipient of the IEEE excellence award in service and research, SAP curriculum award and two Transportation safety awards. Emmanuel S. Eneyo is a Professor of industrial and manufacturing engineering at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He received his BSISE and MSISE degrees from the University of Southern California and a Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering from Purdue University. Dr. Eneyo joined the SIUE faculty in 1989 as an Assistant Professor in industrial engineering. He served as the Program Director of industrial and manufacturing engineering from 1999 to 2005 and successfully got manufacturing engineering program through its first ABET accreditation visit in 2004. He has over 20 years of combined industrial work and consulting experiences with such companies as Bechtel Power Corporation, Rockwell International, Rohr Industries, Roho International, American Steel Foundries, Sierra International, Shell Petroleum Development Company Nigeria Limited, to name a few. Dr. Eneyo's consulting activities over the years have resulted in several professional journal publications and international conference presentations.Professor Eneyo is a senior member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) and Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and a member of Alpha Pi Mu (Industrial Engineering Honor Society), Tau Beta Pi (National Engineering Honor Society), and the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). Dr. Despo Ktoridou is currently an Associate Professor and Head of Management & MIS Department at the University of Nicosia in Cyprus. Dr. Ktoridou holds a B.Sc. (1991), M.Sc. (1993) In Computer Engineering and a Ph.D. (2000) in the field of Expert Systems from Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University in Russia. Dr. Hakan Bütüner is a graduate of TED Ankara College. He received his B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Middle East Technical and MBA from Bilkent Universities; and Ph.D. in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri-Rolla. Dr. Bütüner has been active both in academic and professional lives for several years as a planning and programming manager and as a project manager in overseas, and started up and acted as a chairman of a new venture for bringing different and strong international franchising concepts to Turkey. Later he worked as a strategic planning and business development director of Bayındır Holding; as a SPEED (operations & profit improvement program) country manager of Siemens Business Services; and then as a general coordinator of Bell Holding. During the same periods, he was also lecturing in the Business Schools and/or Industrial Engineering Departments of Bilkent, Bhosporus, Bahcesehir and Yeditepe Universities. Currently, he is lecturing in Business Schools of Bahcesehir and Ozyegin Universities. Ayman Batisha holds a PhD degree in Civil Engineering from Cairo University (Egypt, 2001). He has been practicing, consulting, training, and researching in Sustainability for over twenty-four years. He taught graduate courses at Cairo University. He is a certified Environmental Consultant “Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)”. He is a certified Consultant Civil Engineer. He was teaching in IIT Kanpur continuously since 1966 and joined Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia in 2004 and continuing. He held several academic and administrative positions during the last 50 years of service. Farayi Musharavati obtained his PhD in Manufacturing Systems Engineering at University Putra Malaysia in 2008. The same year he joined Qatar University as an Assistant Professor.Professor Musharavati holds a BTech. (hons) Degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering, an MSc. in Manufacturing Systems and Operations Management and another MSc. in Renewable Energy. Uckun, M.D., Ph.D, is a member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI), an honor society for physician-scientists, and an active member of several professional organizations, including ASH, ASCO, and AACR. He earned his doctoral degrees at University of Heidelberg and completed his residency training in Pediatrics, fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology/Blood and Bone Marrow Stem Cell Transplantation, as well as postdoctoral research training in Immunology at the University of Minnesota. Ljubimova is a Professor and Director of Nanomedicine Research Center at the Department of Neurosurgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She works in clinical and basic cancer research in her entire career. The major interest is the differential cancer gene expression as a tool for finding novel/early markers of cancer development, and for working out new nanomedicine drugs against these tumor targets for treatment and/or imaging. One of the novel markers, the structural tumor vessel wall protein laminin-411, is currently in a clinical trial as a prognostic and diagnostic marker for human glial tumor progression. Jim Klostergaard, Ph.D., joined the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX over 30 years ago and currently is Professor in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Oncology and has twice served as Chair of the Faculty Senate. His doctoral training was at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, one of three original Comprehensive Cancer Centers designated in the National Cancer Act of 1971. Werner J. Blau is internationally well known for his original work in molecular and Carbon nanotechnology and polymer science. He is the Editor of Carbon since 2000 and has given more than 70 plenary/keynote/invited talks in international conferences and symposia.

His research activities focus on the synthesis, properties and applications of carbon nanotubes, graphene, energy storage materials, and photocatalytic semiconducting materials.

Mills received his Ph.D. in 1990 from the University of Illinois and joined the faculty at Louisiana Tech University in 1994. He holds a joint faculty appointment in the Center for Biomedical Engineering and Rehabilitation Science and the School of Biological Sciences. After earning his MS and Ph.D. from Georgia Tech in textile and polymer engineering, Dr. Bhat accepted a position at Image Carpets, Rome, GA where he helped improve the process of converting recycled PET into fibers for carpets. He joined the University of Tennessee, in August 1990, where his research covers nonwovens - melt blown, spunbonded and biodegradable, plastics recycling, nanotechnology, sustainable materials, and high performance fibers. He has also conducted research at Edwards Air Force Base, CA on specialty fibers, and NASA/MSFC on multifunctional composites. As the director of the University of Tennessee Nonwovens Research laboratory (UTNRL) he has focused on production of nanofibers from thermoplastic polymers by the meltblowing process. In addition to mentoring several masters and doctoral students, Dr. Bhat has published more than 200 research papers and has three US Patents. In recognition of his achievements, he was inducted as an Outstanding Young Engineering Alumni by the College of Engineering at Georgia Tech in 1996; received the Distinguished Achievement Award from the Fiber Society in 1999; in 2005, he was elected as a Fellow of the Textile Institute, and in 2008, he received the TechniTex India Research Achievement Award. He has served as the president of the Fiber Society and is an active member of INDA, TAPPI and the Textile Institute.

Moinuddin Sarker, Ph.D., MCIC, FICER, MInstP, has been working as the Vice President (VP) of Research and Development and Head of Science Team (VP and CTO), at the Natural State Research (NSR), Inc at Stamford, CT and the inventor of NSR’s award winning technology to convert municipal waste plastics into liquid hydrocarbon fuel. He has a M. Sc (1992) and Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), Manchester, UK (1996). He has more than 23 years of professional research experience in different universities and research organizations all over the world including the US, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, Taiwan, Bangladesh and the UK. Joao Rodrigues got the Ph.D. on Inorganic Chemistry from the Univ. of Lisbon (Portugal). He is Scientific Coordinator of CQM-Centro de Química da Madeira, head of the MMRG-Molecular Materials Research Group (www.uma.pt/jrmmrg) and Director of the Master in Nanochemistry and Nanomaterials (www.uma.pt/mnn ) at the University of Madeira (Portugal). Yantasee graduated from Oregon State University with a MS (1999) and PhD (2001) in Chemical Engineering as well as an MBA (2001). Currently, she is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) School of Medicine and the President of PDX Pharmaceuticals. Eduardo A. Favret is currently a research scientist at the Institute of Soils and the Botanical Garden “Arturo E. Ragonese”, Natural Resources Research Centre (CIRN), National Institute for Agricultural Technology (INTA), Castelar, Argentina. He obtained his PhD in Physics from the University of Buenos Aires and did a postdoctoral training in laser structuring of materials at the Institute of Functional Materials, University of Saarbrücken, Germany, with a German Science Foundation fellowship. Ranjit Pati is currently a faculty member at the Physics department of Michigan Technological University. He earned his doctorate in theoretical condensed matter physics from the University at Albany, SUNY in 1998. After several years of postdoctoral works at University of New Mexico and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, he joined the physics department at Michigan Technological University as an assistant professor in 2004; he was promoted to associate professor in 2008 and subsequently to the position of a Professor in 2013. Kar Seng (Vincent) Teng is a Senior Lecturer at Swansea University and he is the Head of the Nanoelectronics Research Group within the Multidisciplinary Nanotechnology Centre in the College of Engineering. Monika Michalska is a VicePresident of NANONET Foundation – non-profit organization. She is also Editor-in-Chief on NANONET Newsletter. Ash Jayagopal is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the Vanderbilt Eye Institute, and Molecular Physiology and Biophysics of Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. His laboratory is focused on the development of nanotechnology-based imaging and therapeutic strategies for retinal diseases. He received his doctoral degree in biomedical engineering from Vanderbilt University in 2008, and an MBA from Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, in 2011. Dr. Jayagopal’s research interests are primarily focused on imaging and therapy of diabetic retinopathy (DR) and neovascular age related macular degeneration (nvAMD), with emphasis on targeting dysfunctional endothelial cells. In addition, his laboratory has developed a number of optical nanoparticle-based imaging contrast agents for imaging specific disease biomarkers, including proteins and RNAs, in neovascular endothelial cells and retinal ganglion cells in animal models of DR, nvAMD, and glaucoma.
